Hey, Go Daddy "gets it", when it comes to creating buzz. They got more value out of their failure to get their ads approved for the Super Bowl, then they did for the actual ad. By the time the ad was shown, millions had already seen it on their web site and on the news stations.
Of course, offering domain names for under $10 doesn't hurt either. I've met Bob Parsons (he doesn't live far from me), and, yes, he's that hip of a guy. It's not the commercial... it's the publicity... much of which happens before
the Super Bowl.
