Article submission details - which sites?

Hi everyone!

I read such great posts about article marketing yet I find that there are some - in my oppinion - important issues uncovered. In this post I would like to point these out and start the discussion. I will as well summarise some info for those who are just getting into this.

If you are currently using articles in your marketing, please be so kind as to add your 2 cents to this post. Let us help us.

I will do my little reasoning through my story.
Everyone was praising about articles so I thought I should try it myself. I wrote 8 articles then took a look at the distribution options:

• manual submission to article sites
  
• using a software -
  
• using a service - to do the first

manual submission - uh boy - that is Not for a lazy man. Marketers are lazy, right? decision: skip

software submission - this saves a heck of a time but being still lazy -> decision: skip (I will revise this thought later on)

using a service - yeah baby. Articlemarketer.com broadcasts your articles for ** dollars for 3 month. - This was my choice.

Results and conclusion

using a service to do the job:
well... I must say I am not really satisfied with the service (articlemarketer) I used. The articles are not spreading close way others marketing with articles indicated - and this is the oppinion of other people using this same service as well.
Note: of course the spread rate depends on the quality of the articles as well!! (but in my case these werent junk or bad articles)
Hey, if you were using articlemarketer too let me know Your experience with them! (- but if you are going to greatly defend them please incude something that would proove you)

Taking a look at the competing market (in this service field) this one was the only service I would use as for its price. The others are significantly more expensive, thus I personally wouldnt use them.
Note: if you are going to submit a large number of articles per month then these might be suitable for you as these take the job off of you, leaving time for you to actually enjoy life

uhm, still lazy. there has to be a better way, so still No.

software submission to sites:
Ok, so after my experience and research in this field this is what I am voting for. (Now here is a really important thing if you havn't tried a software yet: They are Not automatic, but they will visit the site for you and prefill the necesearry forms; but still, software needs interaction)


the important reasoning strats for here


You have no controll over where you articles are going if you use a service! Sure they have a list of the sites they are submitting to but I found that articles arent appearing on all the sites in this list!! I wanted to submit my articels to the missing spots but if I wanted to do this I would have needed to verify ALL the sites - what is the diference beetwen manal submission and this right?

I strongly believe now that the best way to get your word out there is by actually submitting yourself - assisted by a software. But here comes the most importan part:
In these software there are a lot of sites to submit to. A large number of these are worthless. So there is no need to waste your time on even registering with them! One should only care about the those that actally have impact.

Take home lesson/ work:

Let us test which ones are good and wich ones arent.
I digged into the web to find this out, but there arent many good lists out there having the top 10-15 sites.


Please post your list of the best article announcment site here! Again, the best 10-15 in your oppinion. Possible include some releated info (best direct hits from the site, best spreading directory, etc.)
