Can anyone help me get better results with my adwords ad?

Hey Guys,

Ive been doing PPC advertising for a little while now and have been quite successful. Mostly targeting niche markets.

Recently I have put up an ad, where there is a bit of competition and thus it is a lot harder for me to get clicks. I think my landing page is quite good, its just that I havent had any clicks to test it out. So far my ad has been displayed 500 times and I have only had 1 click Sad

Can anyone here give me tips on writing my ads, or point me towards some ebook or course which you have used and been successful with?

John's Traffic Secrets also includes an amazing video tutorial on Adwords and a DVD that goes with it too. That has made a huge difference to me...I manage to get click through rates as high as 16% --- but on average, about 6%.

Without divulging John's AdWords "Secrets"...I'll tell you what I have found to work on my own. Although you can look at the ads that are at the top for guidance in what to write, being totally different from the other ads or sometimes opposite of what every other ad says has greatly increased my clickthrough rates. If everyone is trying to get people to buy a product, I'll say:

"Don't Buy XXXXX
Until you read this free
report blah blah blah"

Or whatever I write, I make sure readers know I have some different information than everyone else. Create a little controversy and it gets noticed.

I use phrases like, "Get the real story first" or "Get your free report before you spend your hard earned money", "Is XXXX for real?"...things like that.

Hi Matt,

There are also several other ebooks that are great as well. Try Google Cash or Adwords-1-2-3. I use zooming-ADWORDS which is software that helps me maximize my ROI on every Adwords and Pay Per Click campaign I set up. It has increased my sales through targeting niche keyword phrases that no one else is marketing. I usually get very targeted buyers to my sites for as little as .05 a click. Here's something that I don't think I have seen mentioned in these forums before. It's a teleseminar that was conducted by Jason Potash of PickTheirBrains.com (who was in the audience at the Traffic Secrets seminar) with Perry Marshall & Don Crowther (both were also in the audience there and appear on the DVDs in Q&A sessions).

Jason's a great moderator, and both speakers really know the subject matter from firsthand experience.

Is it just me or does zooming-ADWORDS look almost identical to adword equalizer?

Also, has anyone used adword equalizer? Your thoughts on this product?
