As for what John Reese is doing with his system, you have to ask John. 
I don't know when John is going to launch his tracking software. But here is my suggestion to you and anyone still waiting for John's software:
Go get a good tracking software in the meantime and get to work if you have not done so. You would have made back enough to reinvest in John's software when he launches.
