|
|
I recently learned that using www-domainname.com was a good way of potentially raising CTR for PPC; According to Perry and crew.
Has anyone used this approach?
I was thinking of buying a few domains but not sure if this is more hype then a real world technique. Your input is much appreciated |

| Are you talking about if you are selling red wagons instead of having your domain be "www.yourdomain.com/redwagons" be www.redwagons.com? |

Mo,
Are you talking about having domains that are actually the company name of a competitor (or company of whom you're an affiliate)?
Eg,
www.sonydvdplayers.com or
www.excellentdellpcs.com?
and then pointing them to your (affiliate) site?
Because, if you are, then it could land you in hot water with some companies not wanting their brand tarnished in any way.
The same applies to using keywords like:
www.dell.com
www.pcworld.com
in a PPC account. You'll probably get asked to drop those keywords for the same reason.
Any help? _________________ Scotty Stevens, young infopreneur

I don't think Perry recommends that, Scotty. He does readily give out the red wagons example, though. And yes, I've seen it work well. _________________ The Blog | The FAQ |
