|
|
Does anyone know a software program that will help you with the keyword
grouping for your keyword list? Meaning when you look to make your
keyword list and you go to overture and type in cat and then theres 300
words under cat. From what i was told is that you don't take all of the words
and put them under one ad group, you have to separate them like put all
the misspelled keywords togetther in one ad group and others similar
keywords into a different ad group. So my question is when you have 1000s
of keywords do you HAVE TO manuelly go through the 1000's of
keywords place the similar ones under there own ad group or is there faster
way to do this tedious job? |

This might be of interest if you use Word Tracker http://www.wordtracker.com for keyword research. There is a piece of software called Keyword Results Analyzer http://kra.ez-search-engine-optimization.com/ which you use in conjunction with Word Tracker.
Basically you spend time at Word Tracker researching keywords and then email the results to yourself. Go to your email, highlight it all and paste it into the software. You can then do a lot of analysis etc.
With particular relevance to your question, there is a 'niche within a niche' facility which basically groups keywords into more tightly related groups. I did some research on goal setting at Word Tracker, finding about 800 keywords and then used this facility to then group my keywords into about 40 tightly focused sub groups.
Not being the best at explaining things it might be useful to pop over to the site http://kra.ez-search-engine-optimization.com/ on the right hand side there is a free guide to 'niche within a niche' which you can download.
Hope this is of some help,
Simon |

| You can always use Excel or other spreadsheet softwares to sort your word list. It can sort your list alphabetically and you will probably able to group them easily. |

Hello Anthony,
Re: Your question about grouping keywords.
Your google ad should be as relevant as possible to your keyword in order to receive the most targeted traffic.
If you have a keyword having to do with cat jewelry, your ad should be more specifically related to finding cat jewelry whereas cat food or cat health are related to cats yet really don't relate to jewelry. You would need to have ads that are more targeted to those areas.
It does seem overwhelming to write a separate ad for a 1000 different keywords so you may be better off to identify the specific keywords that will relate most directly to your product(s) and then even write a specific ad for each one. You can build up your adword list over time and then it won't be so overwhelming.
Best of Success,
Dottie |
