I have never created my own product except for a free ebook which I probably could have sold, but was wondering am I more likely to make more money with my own product?
I am currently marketing affiliate products and service and make a good monthly income in the high 4 figures. _________________ Mal Keenan

I really think you could probably make a lot more money with your own product. Simply because you have so many more things you can do to market it then you can with an affiliate product.
Affiliate marketing is obviously still very good but I really think you do need to have your own products as well. But if you combine both of them then that's even better again.
Just my opinion anyways. |

Yeah I have been thinking about that myself Dwayne mainly because I could signup affiliate to do the selling for me.
I'm not against the idea of creating my own product, just wouldn't know where to start and no ideas are forthcoming....yet. _________________ Mal Keenan

Well if you would just like to get an ebook created you could try using a ghostwriter from eLance (www.elance.com) and there are some very good writers there who could write you a book on just about any topic. Rent A Coder (www.rentacoder.com) could also be a good place for this as they have some good writers as well.
Prices for a good ebook normally range from about $400-$1000 depending on what you want, how many pages, how complicated it is, etc. and usually most writers will be done with 2-6 weeks I think. So that is definitely a good way of quickly getting an ebook done.
If you want software created instead then both of the above 2 places are excellent for that as well. There are some awesome programmers on there who do things quite cheaply as well as all the graphical work.
Meanwhile if you want to write your own book then if you search the web you could find a lot of resources on what your after. Another very good way to do this is if you have a whole bunch of questions that need to be answered you could use a service like Google Answers (www.google.com/answers) and pay the researchers there a few dollars per question to find you the answer and then you could take all the information from that and make a book out of it.
If you are able to do something on a computer which you think people might want to learn then you could easily create your own multimedia course by using some software like Camtasia Studio (www.techsmith.com) which lets you record your screen and if you have a mic you can add audio to it as well.
I know someone who has done this for a few popular software programs and just made a whole multimedia tutorial course of him showing them how to use the software.
As for physical products I haven't done anything with them so I'm really not too sure how to go about getting those done. But if you just want to sell digital products for now then those resources above should be everything you need to get something created.
Now all you need is an idea |

Thanks Dwayne
I appreciate the info. I think actually paying someone to create a product is a lot more appealing than actually doing it myself.
I guess then paying a copywriter to write a sales page come after that before I even start marketing it. _________________ Mal Keenan

I will buy your product if you create a product that shows how you are making 4 figure monthly income. _________________ Niche Marketing Domination

Thanks do you have a name?
I am actually a member of copywriters monthly, now all I have to do is start reading what they send me . Its meant to be a great spot, recommended by Allen Says.
I'm also tempted to sign up for Michel Fortins membership site. I know copywriting is the way to go for me. At the very least it will beef up the regular emails I send to my affiliates. _________________ Mal Keenan
