Ok I will lay it all on the line here. I know that traffic secrets is a great product(based on what others say) but is it good for me in your opinion. Mr. Reese is a standup guy. Another forum posts negative stuff about his product and just the way John handled himself within that forum speaks wonders about his character.
Background:
I run a web hosting company, have a decent client base all from the internet marketing related industry. I am a full time web host, not part time.
Currently I have 2 employees under me.
I attend college full time as well because I believe in always trying to better myself.
Needless to say I am doing a little better than breaking even, since starting up a hosting company is costly. After school bills and necessary living expenses there isn't much money to go around.
As many of you know I am young in age (23), but my whole drive in life is business, i am not the normal 23 year old.
People always told me I was crazy for trying to start my own business at 23, "nobody will take you serious blah blah." Now my sole drive it to prove everyone wrong. There is nothing I cannot do. I have been fighting bad odds my whole life. I was born 2 lbs, wasn't supposed to have a chance. I was terrible at reading when I was younger and slowly improved and now I am an avid reader that can comprehend more than the average person faster. ( If only I could write that well... Someday!).
What do I need with Traffic Secrets?
I am hoping to build traffic to my hosting website. I have decent general marketing knowledge and ideas through the warriror forum, ablake and here. I need something that helps me put stuff together, now I have a ton of mixed ideas, i need direction or a path.
I plan on putting it on my credit card and pay it off over time, so I do not want to waste my money.
Please give me your honest opinion if it will help
me out
Thank you,

Hi Derrick
To be honest, I'm not sure ...
It all depends on what previous knowledge you have with regards to generating traffic to your website(s) and what exactly you want TS to achieve for you ...
One of the best things about TS are the blueprints that help to clarify exactly step-by-step what you need to do ...
There is a LOT of information in TS ... some of which you will almost certainly know, but it only takes one or two nuggets of gold to make the course worth it, so long as you implement them, of course ...
Plus you've got the support from John and the other members of the TS private forum, some of whom are really starting to make progress ...
And also, don't forget TS comes with a money back guarantee, so you won't waste your money if you decide it's not for you ...
At the end of the day, only you will know whether TS is worth your time and money ...
Just my thoughts, anyway ...
Cheers

Hey Derrick,
I was at college at 23, but I spent the rest of my time at the bar..LOL...good for you. I did eventually come around.
Here's the thing, I don't think Traffic Secrets is about getting traffic. In fact, I don't know why John called it "Traffic Secrets" (sorry John) because it's not just about getting traffic. It's about converting your mass amounts of highly targeted traffic into sales.
So..if you could use that, by all means Derrick, you could use Traffic Secrets.
Another thought: The Internet is also a tremendous opportunity for multiple streams of income...and if you get Traffic Secrets and don't have a bunch of further business ideas to develop when you're done, you weren't paying attention. I wouldn't stop at hosting, when there are so many opportunities out there for you.
Go for it, Derrick.
Alice

If you are only interested in traffic, the same experts who speak on John's DVD speak at greater length at less cost on The System's Traffic School.
However, I agree with the last poster that Traffic Secrets is not a good name for John's product and that you'll learn a lot about a whole lot more than traffic.

Alice,
I still do that once in a while but not as much as most. You have to have a little fun too!

Derrick,
The course is awesome and will do unbelieveable things for your business! There are some cheaper alternatives that I could recommend if you really can't afford the course, but they are nowhere as complete and as concise as traffic secrets.
Quick story, I still haven't implemented over 98% of the suggestions and tips that traffic secrets provides. On my traffic secret blueprint I'm still on step 1. However, all I did was take his advice on Keyword research and applied it to selling on Ebay and I made the money back I paid for the course THAT SAME MONTH!
By the way I started my business at 23 and people said I was crazy too. While I'm nowhere near the income I would like to be at yet, I'm still running a profitable business and I would be very surprise with at the rate I'm going if I haven't past my goals within 2 years tops!
Also, noticed you are from New York. Are you near the city? _________________ Roosevelt Cooper

Hey Derrick,
Alice said it all when she said it is so much more than just traffic. This is an entire business plan and will show you road maps on ventures you never knew existed.
I wouldn't trade my Traffic Secrets for any amount of money because everything I have applied has worked like crazy. My traffic has tripled to both of my sites and I'm building a 3rd site now.
I convert a lot more visitors to customers and my revenue is growing daily.
My opt-in newsletter has never grown so fast. I could go on about every single area of my sites improvements.
The Traffic Secrets forum is worth the money alone. The advice you get from the high quality of people in the forum is priceless. It continually delivers fresh ideas and keeps you informed about whats happening and what is about to happen on the Internet.
John has completly changed my Internet business and a lot of others for the better. No matter what level you are at, Traffic Secrets is worth any price you pay for it. I've profited so much more than I paid for it and it's exciting because now everything just works.
Just an honest opinion from a satisfied TS owner.

Gary,
First I would like to say thank you for your taking the time out of your busy schedule and answering my question.
Between what I have read doing a google search and the comment sby the well respected people here I know Traffic Secrets is a must have.
Thanks again for your time and I look forward to interacting with you in the future on the forum!

Don't let anybody stop you! Wasn't Michael Jordan prevented from playing in his High School team because he was told he wasn't good enough or something like that?
You're a champion. Win, win, win!
I left Brazil at 17 years of age all by myself and followed my Italian ancestors footsteps to America. My whole family stayed behind and I've been here since and have a family of my own that I love and cherish.
Everybody told me I couldn't do it because I was too poor, had no way to pay for my way here and I was too young. The too young stuff is pure horse crap. Mozart was a genius at 4 so who cares! Go for it, become the next hosting king and make millions. At 40, you will be glad you did, trust me and your family will be taken care of and so will you!
Since I left Brazil I've done over $60,000,000 in deals in real estate and a few more deals in other industries and have been to Brazil about 15 times. The people who said I couldn't do it are either dead or living in poverty without any financial hope for a better tomorrow.
They also said I could never learn English. Yeah, right. Never give heed to anybody who's negative and says you can't do something. That's how they live and that's why they don't get anywhere in life.
Be the best you can be and the earlier you start, the better.
Regards,
Mario Giordani

Mario,
I think people say "you can't do that" because they are scared to try themselves. Real Estate is something I would like to get involved in some day. I like doing repairs and such and would love to get a 2 unit apartment building and work on it.

Thank you for telling us that Mario. I am still very young as well and stories like yours are very inspirational and help to keep me determined and on track. When people say you're silly for attempting things like this it's nice to hear someone who has done it and succeeded in a large way tell you that your not that stupid after all
And since I'm posting in a TS post I'd better leave my thoughts. I don't actually have it yet so I can't really comment on how useful it is. But I definitely do want it since I've heard so many good things about it and have spoken to several people who own it and they say they have learnt heaps from it. Only problem is I already have so much information to read through and apply at the moment that I think getting something as huge as that now would just be information overload. |

Yes. That too. Some people are scared to try things themselves as you said. Others just don't want you to succeed.
This fear is very interesting. It's fear of financial success. It's hard to believe when someone says that they wouldn't want to win the lottery. I've had people say that to me in the past. I say "what?" - Give me the ticket then!
I've heard people say" A dodge viper? A ferrari spyder? Nah...I like my old dodge truck" or whatever. I say, give me the keys then! "I couldn't live in a big mansion with 20,000 sq. ft and an indoor swimming pool!" - I say, give me the house keys and I will live there for you!
Didn't Sam Walton drive an old truck yet he was worth billions? To some people success is defined in different ways, not just materials things. For me, it's family, health, faith and integrity. The money part is great. It doesn't buy happiness. Just makes you more joyful. It puts a smile on your face. But you can't take it with you. I say, "I know" so let me use it while I'm here!
As for real estate. This a changing industry. I pioneered a flat-fee commission system http://flatfeereport.com that is catching on as more and more people don't want to pay 6% to sell a home. In fact, Forsalebyowner.com just won a law suit against the State of California over advertising properties without a license.
Real estate commissions are in the tune of over $60Billion per year in the U.S. It's *big* money. Most people gladly pay a Realtor 6% to sell their home without the knowledge that they can pay 50% of that and still be on the famous Multiple Listing Service. So if you're interested in getting into real estate, look into some potential niche markets online. Mortgage is big business too.
ForSaleByowner.com for example is a multi-million dollar online business.
I also did a couple of flat-fee MLS stuff like http://mlspoint.com and http://flatfeechoice.com and have other things in store for 2005.
Selling houses the old fashioned way can get boring after a while and driving buyers around will get to you. Investing, diversifying, etc. seems ot be more exciting.
Take care!

Hey Mario,
What a fantastic attitude. It's rare you meet or hear someone that thinks like you anymore. I couldn't agree with you more and your words sound like my own.
I don't care what anyone says or thinks I'm moving ahead with or without them. Age means nothing because I accomplished a lot in my early years with real estate when everyone told me it was impossible.
If I had listened I would be working for some boss I hated now like they are. I don't care how far out of reach you think something is, believe it can happen and watch your life change before your eyes.
It's a pleasure and refreshing reading your posts. I'm looking forward to chatting some more with you in the future.
