Just to show you the amount of devastation, which is deteriorating:

BTW, US Airways REFUSED to refund, credit or rebook my flight to New Orleans next week for the seminar at which I was to speak, which obviously got cancelled since the hotel is completely uninhabitable.
US Airways was not very cooperative, the day after the hurricane, my travel agent called US Airways. They gave her attitude and said, "Oh well, so sad, if we are going there, they must fly."
Amazing. Simply amazing. _________________ Regards,

It no wonder they can't stay out of bankruptcy.
I only fly Delta (which may not be around much longer either with their stocks at under a dollar per share).
Sorry to hear your bad news.
BTW - Jeffrey Dedrick just sent a GENEROUS donation to help buy supplies to take with me to Louisiana next weekend. He said I had you to thank for that.

That was an awesome newspaper link - very powerful and hits home to what those affected are facing. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
I have sent this and also your weblink Greg for donations to my own modest mailing lists - personal and also some personal development mailing lists I am active on - let's hope these 'enlightened' people walk their talk
I have unfortunately heard some views down under that you are a wealthy nation and are therefore equipped to address such an ordeal vs those affect by the Tsunami.
There may be some truth in that - as far as the wealth of the nation, AND I believe that that does not lessen the impact for those that are having to experience it as part of their new, unchosen reality - and therefore as fellow human beings we do our best to help out.
Its the individuals that need our support and now is not the time to share our political views and therefore 'deservedness'.
This is a message I am doing my best to spread along with other Australians/NZers moved by what is happening.
I sincerely wish you the best with what is such a spirited mission you are going on. My thoughts are with you.

Hi Caro,
Thanks for everything you are doing.
As far as being a wealthy nation, I'm not sure the stereotype fits 98% of the country. Most of the people affected ONLY had their homes and the belongings within the home.
When they finally get to go back to where their homes once stood, I can't imagine how that is going to feel. Having absolutely nothing in your life and having to start from scratch would be an incredible feat for anyone to face.
We are lucky in one sense that our government and large corporations are willing and able to donate money and help personnel, but I am quite sure the US government and large US corporations sent billions of dollars to aide in the Tsunami. Not because it was in a poor part of the world, but because people needed help and we were in the position to do so.
Same thing would go for any nation that has a national tragedy.
Anyway, thanks again for your support. It means a lot.
