|
|
Let's say I have a niche market for keyword 'abc' that I feel I could do well in. My current primary website is xyz.com.
My question is, if I wanted to achieve optimal SEO for this keyword 'abc' could I get away with having all contents/pages stored at www.xyz.com/abc.htm and then simply buying www.ABC.com to point to it? Or does optimization get effected by this, meaning would I need to host www.ABC.com by itself, and have all of it's content page stored from there (ie: www.ABC.com/page1.htm, www.ABC.com/page2.htm, etc).
So is SEO effected by how a site is hosted (or whether a domain just forwards to it)?? _________________ ”Dear Employee, Your Job Sucks”… New 67-page viral report with 6 income streams. Hosting no.
Domain yes.
It is better SEO wise to have the keywords or word in the domain name than domain.com/keyword.html

Okay, then here's a question that quickly ties into the other one... don't subdomains help with SEO? For example, if I want to be found for "buy XYZ product" then www.xyz-product.com is certainly a great keyword rich domain (and you're saying it can simply forward to another hosted webpage)... but how about if I wanted to create http://buy.xyz-product.com... that's my rationale.
PPC I have fairly locked down (let's say intermediate level) but SEO I'm still somewhere in Grade 4... so I appreciate the input. _________________ ”Dear Employee, Your Job Sucks”… New 67-page viral report with 6 income streams. a subdomain is ok, not as good as a root level domain though.
Many people say they are the same, from my testing I found differences.
