I have 2 hosting accounts, 1 of them is hostgator baby croc, when I upload a file onto hostgator to overwrite an older file, no changes were seen!
The tech support mention something about changes can only be seen after 48 hours! There was a folder which I uploaded, after 1 week, there's still no changes!
My goodness, I edited my salesletter & I have to start my promotion asap!

Were you using live chat? If so, I'd open a ticket by e-mailing them at support@hostgator.com.
My experience is that they are really good with support and i'm sure they can help you through this.
Good luck.

| I had HORRIBLE customer service with them and had a dedicated server for about 1.5 months before moving on to EV1. Good luck, though. Hope you have better luck than I did. |

TheUltimatePublishing,
I run a hosting company and I would say roughly 25-30% of my customers are unhappy people who have defected from HostGator.
Shoot me a PM and I can take care of you for the same price if you would like.
If they told you 48 hours they are wrong. If you a just setting up the site on the server for the first time then they are right but if it is already on the server and you just are trying to add pages then they are wrong.
A couple common problems that may cause this:
1) check you ftp settings sometimes it isnt set to over write existing file
2) you space alloted to that domain may be used up, if it is you need to raise the space it wont let you upload new files even to overwrite.
3) hit ctrl+refresh on your brower this is unlikely since you have waited a week but maybe it is caching the old page.
Some other possibilities but those are the most common.
Hope this helps.
