3 Types Of Autoresponders (How To Choose Wisely)

If you're choosing which autoresponder to use, here's my thoughts based on my personal experience.

I've used all 3 main types of autoresponders, desktop, 3rd party, server based.

Desktop is the biggest headache & your computer have to be switched on 24/7. Though you pay a one time fee, you pay for electricity & lots of hassle. Stay far far away from them.

3rd party is the easiest to use, eg. aweber, emailaces, 1shoppingcart, stick to either of these 3 & forget about the rest. They'll take care of everything for you, only bad thing is you've got to pay monthly. For the convenience it's worth it.

Server based autoresponders, eg. autoresponse plus, you pay a one time fee, it sits on your server, you've got full control. My choice among the 3! You must host it on a super reliable host, if you get a unique IP address, even better still!

The other benefit of 3rd party software like Aweber and
1ShoppingCart is that they do all the work of watching
the spam blacklists and making sure that their service
is OFF of those lists.

This is a LOT of work that most business owners do NOT
want to do. (time waste that takes your energy away from
marketing)

If you have a service like Autoresponse Plus, then YOU
have to monitor these blacklists and make sure that your
website is not on them, i.e. phone, email, beg the ISPs to
take your site off the blacklists.

Too much of a headache!

I agree with you 3rd party software is the way to go!

Maybe I should call myself, autoresponse plus man, since I preach it so much, haha! Or the mailloop guy, since I've solved a few mailloop problems before.

If I didn't have such a good webhost which also gives me support with autoresponse plus, I'll go with aweber or emailaces or 1shoppingcart.

But since I'm already so used to autoreponse plus & I'm so happy with it, I'm gonna stick to it.

If you got a system that is working for you, then don't switch!

People always talk to me about switching and I ask them,
"Is your current system working for you?"

If the answer is yes, then I tell them to stick with that.

If the answer is no, then we talk about other solutions.

There is never a perfect solution, remember we are dealing
with software. Some services do one thing better, and some
services to another thing better.
